The following university business and design competitions can challenge students to make progress on their business idea or venture.

QuackHatch is a cross-campus business idea competition open to University of Oregon undergraduate students of all majors. Pitch your business idea or nonprofit idea for a chance to win seed funding.

The University of Oregon’s New Venture Championship (NVC) is an international business competition for graduate students with over $50,000 prize purse.

The Sustainable Invention Immersion Week program is a week-long entrepreneurial bootcamp where students are challenged to build a sustainable product and business model through the lens of green chemistry and sustainability.

QuackCon is a hackathon prototyping event where people come together to build cool stuff.  QuackCon focuses specifically on the theme of sports/tech and participants are encouraged to build a project that focuses on 1). athletic enhancement; and/or, 2) fan/audience engagement.

QuackTrackPitch is a first-of-its-kind Elevator Pitch competition that takes place on Hayward Field. Participants pitch their business idea while running a lap around Hayward Field.

Startup Weekend Eugene is a 3-day business competition where students and local community members come together to build teams and develop a business venture.
